Feature Friday | Grace + Ross | 4th grade sweethearts

Grace and Ross tied the knot this February at one of their favorite restaurants, The Wine Garden in Slidell, LA. Sarah Alleman Photography perfectly captured every intimate detail of this special day.

Grace and Ross have known each other since they were 10. They remained best friends throughout high school and started dating after graduating college. Ross proposed in March of 2020. A year later as the couple gathered childhood photos, Ross’s mom found his 4th grade yearbook. “She had sent me a picture not even realizing that he had drawn a heart around me in it”, says Grace. “I cried because I saw this only a week before the wedding and it just set all the ooey gooey feelings in motion.”

We loved being a part of Grace’s special day. Tina, the lead artist and owner of Verde, styled a gorgeous side braid, intertwining Grace’s delicate hairpiece to add just a touch of sparkle! For makeup she combined warm tones on the eyes with a pop of color on the lips, creating a glowing bridal look. Grace was absolutely stunning!

Grace and these lovely ladies got dolled up in comfort of her mother’s home in Slidell, LA. These women were such a pleasure to work with!

It's all in the Details

Grace and Ross have two fur babies, they refer to as their “pride and joy”, that they wanted to incorporate into their wedding day. Grace had the cats hand painted on her shoes and socks made for Ross featuring the kitties’ faces.

To Have + to Hold

Grace and Ross said “I do” at The Wine Garden surrounded by 25 of their closest family and friends. Following the ceremony, they enjoyed a delicious dinner that included a charcuterie, chicken and waffles, prime rib poboys and crawfish pasta.
