Feature Friday | Pointe Micro Wedding | Styled Shoot

We LOVED being a part of this editorial styled shoot in New Orleans, LA this Fall. We had the pleasure of working with a very talented group of vendors, coordinated by the incredibly creative Rena Sweeny with Alchemy Events. The Tremé Market Branch was the perfect setting for this ballet inspired micro wedding and Brian Jarreau Photography did a wonderful job of capturing every gorgeous detail.

Bridal Beauty Prep

Tina, head stylist and owner of Verde Beauty did an amazing job of keeping Kaylin’s makeup “light, beautiful and bridal, but defined." Tina chose to define the brows and use a dark eyeliner. She finished with a nice highlight and soft pink lip. This combination created a flawless look that fit the feminine, yet strong vibe of this shoot perfectly!

It's all in the Details

Tremé Market Branch is a beautifully restored bank building that is nearly 100 years old and located less than 2 miles from the French Quarter. With it’s lavish gold chandelier and soaring arched windows, this venue offers the perfect backdrop to any event or gathering. Rena Sweeny with Alchemy Events did an excellent job of using crystal ball chandeliers from ELEMENT, gold oval back chairs, and other unique details to create the perfect vintage glow.

For this shoot, I was inspired by the idea of elegant chandeliers laying in the midst of an old building. I immediately knew Tremé Market Branch was the perfect location, with their dedication to the original architectural elements of the building including plaster and beautiful windows that are almost 100 years old. This was one of those times when everything just clicked because I also immediately knew I wanted a beautiful, strong woman dancing on pointe. I could see her jumping the broom with the graceful movements of a ballet dancer and that led to us using blush tones and a lot of tulle for the shoot. We then incorporated a beautiful bouquet that had the same freeform movement as the dancer and a gorgeous invitation with the same soft feminine qualities as the shoot, including the pink colors and beautiful vellum wrap.
