Feature Friday | Meant to be Loved BAYOU | A New Orleans Wedding

Jeanne and Dan tied the knot last February at the infamous Race + Religious Wedding Venue in New Orleans! Alchemy Events did an outstanding job of transforming the property into a romantic, “bayou-themed” setting for this sweet couple. Dark Roux captured every gorgeous detail perfectly.

We loved being a part of Jeanne’s wedding! Tina and Haylee with Verde Beauty Studio truly captured her classic beauty with a timeless updo and her natural makeup look.

We each wore a special fragrance to create a sensory connection to the memory of our wedding day. We save these perfumes for special occasions, to bring us back to that day.

Jeanne enjoyed sipping champagne with her bridesmaids and getting dolled up for her big day — all in the comfort of her own bridal suite at one of our favorite venues, Race + Religious in the heart of New Orleans!

It's all in the Details

To Have + to Hold

Ceremony Pic
The moment we were pronounced husband and wife, and things were official, it was time to party. Rather than traditional organ music, a lone trumpet pierced the applause, catching everyone’s attention,” shares Dan. “We wanted to give our guests, especially those from outside of Louisiana, a taste of the local culture, and treated them to an authentic New Orleans second line parade. We experienced every emotion at once. Getting to see the excitement and surprise on our guests faces, coupled with the ambiance of Race and Religious lit up at night, was a memory neither of us will forget.

Following the ceremony, guests were provided with specialty cocktails and invited to participate in the traditional New Orleans 2nd line parade. Brennans served delicious authentic Creole style food, Frosted Fantasies by Nikki created three gorgeous cakes that each mimicked the architectural details of the venue, and DJ Chris Logan of Aaron Lane Entertainment kept everyone on their feet dancing the night away!
