Sometimes we just want to have a little fun with makeup! At the beginning of October Sarah and Tina played around with some gorgeous glitters from Elektra Cosmetics to create a fun Siren's inspired mermaid look!

Prep :

Sarah started off with hydrating rosewater spray by Mario Badescue to balance and hydrate Tina's skin. Next MAC strobe cream all over the face as primer to give the skin an illuminated look. To make sure that the eye colors popped MAC Paint pot, in soft ochre, was used all over the lid.

What was used in this Look :

For the skin prep Sarah used a full coverage foundation, MAC Pro Longwear in nw20 along with a full coverage concealer, Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer, in level 02, mixed with MAC strobe creme to create a opaque but illuminated skin look.**

Under the eye was brightened with Ben Nye Neutral Set Colorless Face Powder and the translucent blot powder from verde beauty was used to set the look.

Sarah used a combination of colors on the eyes and face from the urban decay VICE palette,  all of the greens, blues purples and white to create an base for her mermaid look.

To add dimension to the face contour starts with Kevyn Aucoin deep contour powder and is topped with light purple and finished with Joico colored hair spray in purple. We used this both for the colored contour, to create a more harsh cheek bone and in Tina's hair to blend her new growth. The highlighter that was used was Kevyn Aucoin's candle light.

Texture was added using fishnets to create a scale look with purples and greens from Vice palette using a stippling motion and then blended out after application to give a more realistic scale look. Large, chunky glitter from Elektra Cosmetics, Bolt Balm in Silver, was used over the "mermaid scale" to add shimmer

On Tina's brows Elektra Cosmetics Microfine Glitter in Aquamarine and Blue were used to fill and add a bit of whimsy to the look. To finish the eyes Sarah used Broadway lashes in Demi-Whispies and topped the lashes with blue mascara

For the lips Sarah used Verde Beauty's new Siren's inspired liquid lipstick topped with an iridescent blue shadow from the Vice Palette. Once the look was complete she set it with MAC's Fix+ hydrating spray to give more glisten and Viola!!! A mermaid look!
