Before the "I DO"s...

How they met :

"In college after a football game! I cheered for LSU at the time, and my friend said she had this super cute guy to introduce me to. I was skeptical since I wasn't a fan of people setting me up with random people (ha!), but we ended up having such  fun night and then he bought me Taco Bell, winner! We had an instant connection and have been together ever since!"

The Proposal :

"Stephen has a knack fro surprising me with the unexpected, so our proposal was no different. We had already had "the talk" about both wanting to get married when I moved with him to Pensacola, so I was content to wait until he was ready. It was a random Wednesday night after work, we had cooked dinner, then he asked if I wanted to walk downtown to our friends house for a glass of wine. I was so excited because he's such  homebody during the week! He said he wanted to make a pit stop at his parents' house since his dad was home alone, and on our way out he stopped me in their courtyard and dropped to one knee. I was in complete shock and totally surprised. It was the best moment and was so "us" since our relationship has always been so easygoing and the simplicity of it made it all the more special to me."

Wedding Details :

What made you choose where you got married? :

"I wanted everything to be easily accessible for my guests. As soon as I saw photos of the museum I instantly loved it, the backdrop was incredible and was rain-proof! It was perfect that St. Joseph's was right up the street, it's the most beautiful church"

What were your special details or parts of the wedding that were specific to you? :

"I love neutrals and just an earthy look, so all my decor reflected that. All I really cared about was having good food, good drinks, and great music and for everyone to have the best time, and we achieved that!"

What did you choose to do as your favors? :

"Since most guests were from out-of-town, we had favor bags in all the rooms with some Louisiana staples - Zapp's chips, bottles of Tobasco, and of course water and Advil for those morning-after feels!"

Did you incorporate any wedding traditions from you or your partners families? :

"Not really! It was totally our own :)"

Did you rock a #hashtag? :

"#wearethemillers"

From the Bride...

What is one thing you wish you would have known pre-wedding? :

"How long custom invitations can take! Some of mine were sent out 2 weeks before my wedding, it was the only stress of planning. Get them done EARLY, they can always sit ready to go before you need to mail them out!"

Words of Advice for future brides? :

"Remember what's important - your marrying the love of your life! Flowers, decor, bridesmaids dresses should always take a back seat at the end of the day and never interfere with you enjoying the moment. Set up your getting-ready location/day just as you want to have it, what will make you most relaxed and just take it all in. Let your planner/family member/friend take care of any issues for you. Nothing can ruin such a beautiful day if you don't let it :)"
