Makeup Monday: Josie Maran Haul
I have heard so many people raving about Josie Maran products the last few months so when I saw the brand on my fav. shopping website, hautelook.com, I HAD to try a few things. I wish that I could say that I was more impressed with the products that I chose, but sadly I am not. I'm going to try a few more things from this line soon, some of the more well known items for sure.
Luminous Hydrating Liquid Powder
Rating : 4/10
What is it: a lightweight and cooling face powder that won't weigh you down. Infused with ARGON oil and coconut water to help hydrate and soothe, this luminous formula helps to visibly brighten the appearance of skin while providing an instant cooling sensation.
Who is it for: Ideal for all skin types and tones, this lightweight powder adds a subtle radiance to skin that instantly brightens the face.
Tina Says: I wouldn't call this product a "must have" at all. It's just, eh ok. I feel like it was hard trying to figure out what this product could be used for. It's not really a setting powder, a highlighter or foundation powder.
*Note - I have oily/normal skin, so I would like to see how this product works on dry skin types.
Argan Infused Brightening Face Balm

Tina says: I find that this product would be good for editorial work on flawless skinned models or for beachy nude skin. I wasn't a fan of how it wears under my foundation.
Our makeup + hair apprentice Chloe had a chance to try these products as well, here is what she thought:
The powder had no special qualities. It was very drying on my skin but it left my skin very soft. It also gave me a very matte finish.
The highlihgter is a beautiful shade of gold and pink and it was a perfect color for my skin type. Unfortunately, it left my skin feeling greasy and when I took my makeup off, it left some texture.
*Note: I have normal to dry skin so these weren't my favorites.
