Chicago to NOLA | Taylor | Brennan's New Orleans

It was such a FUN time with Taylor and her bridal party this past March! We had all the space in the world at the Omni Royal Suite before they took the party to Brennan’s- give me all the corner rooms with tons of light! It is so much fun for my destination brides to have a bourbon street balcony during wedding prep to people watch. This particular weekend was wonderfully smooth as we got to work with the ever chill and well organized Michelle Norwood Events and some of our FAVS September Co.

PRO TIP : If you get hot - wear an updo!

At Taylor’s preview we chatted about how she wanted to wear her hair - do we go up or down?
Being that the wedding was in March the temp could go either way but we chose to do a soft, textured low bun and it was the PERFECT style for her wedding day <3 <3

I LOVE it when my bride’s get to share a little about their love story with us and we chat about what made them choose the location they did. Looking at these images you can see the joy and love that Taylor and Bob have and share with their family and friends. I knew that I adored her at the wedding prep but really getting to see her happiness puts me over the moon for them!

Hurry back to NOLA and let’s be besties please!

How did you meet?

We met at work! We both joined the company (we still work at) back in the summer of 2018 only 2 months apart and after a few friendly work gatherings and events and growing our friendship, we began dating in early 2019

The Proposal

At the time we were living together in Chicago with our dog, Molly, and our favorite nearby park Humboldt Park became a staple in our routine.

One day in late May- Molly, Bob and I, went to have a picnic in Humboldt Park and at some point Bob asked if he knows how much he loves me and then pulled a ring out. Although I like to sometimes joke about this and give him a hard time -- he didn't get on one knee and instead just opened the ring box in front of me and I don't even recall if he asked me to marry him, I think we both just knew and he put it on my finger.

We continued our picnic in the park and after an hour or so a few of our close friends came by to celebrate with us and it ended up raining and we danced in the rain and drank champagne

Words of Advice for future brides?

Take time for you and your groom! Whether that is a private dinner or a private dance, make time for the two of you. The day goes by way too fast.

Don't sweat all the little stuff (favors, small details). They will likely go unnoticed by your guests and even yourself! Focus more on the overall experience itself

Lastly, get TONS of rest! If you are having a destination wedding with multiple events, sacrifice some of the late night fun to ensure you get your beauty rest.

What is one thing you wish you would have known pre-wedding?
Take a moment to enjoy everything you put together!! Take a moment to walk around and acknowledge all the work you’ve done and let it soak in. The day goes by WAY too fast.
