The Verde Standard is rooted in professionalism, intention, and care — for our clients and for one another.
Every artist brings individual talent. What protects the Verde name is consistency in how that talent is delivered.
Talent is expected.
Professionalism is required
Client Experience First
Technical skill matters. The client experience matters more.
Brides remember how they felt.
Planners remember how you worked.
Professionalism off the face matters as much as artistry on it.
The Bottom Line
You were chosen because you’re talented.
You remain because you are consistent.
Professional Presence
Show up prepared, composed, and ready to support the environment.
Wedding mornings should feel calm and organized — never rushed. Your energy contributes directly to that tone.
How you speak, carry yourself, and interact with clients and vendors reflects the Verde brand.
Conduct & Boundaries
Communication with clients should always be respectful and reassuring.
Pricing, scheduling changes, compensation, or vendor coordination are handled through the Verde Beauty team — not discussed directly with clients.
When you accept an event, you are committing to the confirmed scope of services. Adjustments must be approved in advance.
Clear boundaries protect the client experience and ensure fairness for everyone involved.
Technical Integrity
Be confident in both hair and makeup artistry and adjust intentionally based on the client.
Select tools and techniques with longevity and outcome in mind.
Quality and efficiency must coexist within the timeline.
Team Alignment
We do not operate as individual freelancers on event day.
We operate as one coordinated team.
Support one another. Move with alignment. Protect the room.
If you are assigned as a lead, your energy sets the tone.
No drama. No negativity. Clients feel everything.

How Bookings Work
All Verde Beauty bookings are coordinated through our concierge team to ensure a seamless and organized experience for both clients and artists. This structure allows artists to focus on their work while administrative details are handled consistently behind the scenes.
When a booking is offered, artists will receive clear information regarding service counts, timing, location, and service level. Artists are expected to respond promptly through the designated communication method so clients can be confirmed without delay.
Artists may be asked to hold a date for up to 14 days while contracts, paperwork, or scheduling details are finalized. During this hold period, the date should remain available and conflicting bookings should not be accepted without notifying Verde Beauty. If the booking is not finalized within that timeframe, the hold may be released without obligation. You will recieve an email confirming if the client books.
Once a booking is formally accepted, the date and service timing are reserved exclusively for that artist and relied upon by clients, planners, and fellow vendors. Except in cases of true emergency, accepted bookings are considered committed reservations.
Artists should not discuss pricing, payment details, or contract terms with clients. All financial and administrative communication is handled through Verde Beauty. On wedding and event days, artists are expected to follow the provided timeline and communicate through the designated lead artist or concierge.
For weddings led by Tina, an elevated level of attention to detail and client care is expected.
-
Artists working with Verde Beauty do so as independent contractors, not employees. This structure allows artists to maintain professional independence while working within the systems and standards that support the Verde Beauty client experience.
As independent contractors, artists:
Operate their own beauty business and maintain their own tools, licenses, and certifications
Choose whether to accept opportunities offered through Verde Beauty
Are responsible for managing their own taxes and business obligations
Submit invoices for completed services in order to receive payment
Verde Beauty does not direct or control how services are performed. However, we do set expectations around professionalism, communication, timelines, and client experience to ensure consistency for clients, planners, and venues.
Artists are expected to operate as established professionals, capable of managing schedules, responding to communication in a timely manner, and adhering to the policies outlined in this handbook.
This structure allows Verde Beauty to:
Provide consistent, well-organized opportunities
Maintain high service standards
Support artists through systems, coordination, and management, without interfering in how artists run their business
Artist Engagement & Booking Frequency
Verde Beauty works with a roster of professional artists who engage with the brand at varying levels of frequency. These differences are not formal titles or ranks, but rather a reflection of availability, consistency, and performance over time.
Some artists work with Verde Beauty regularly, while others participate occasionally based on schedule, location, or personal availability. Engagement frequency may fluctuate throughout the year and is influenced by several factors, including:
Availability and willingness to accept bookings
Consistency and reliability
Quality of work and client feedback
Professionalism, communication, and preparedness
Alignment with Verde Beauty standards and brand values
Artists who demonstrate strong performance and consistent availability are more likely to be:
Offered higher-volume or priority bookings
Considered for higher service rates, bonuses, or incentives
Selected for repeat clients, planners, and premium events
There is no guaranteed minimum number of bookings. Opportunities are offered based on business needs, artist fit, and mutual availability.
Verde Beauty is committed to fair, transparent communication and works to ensure artists understand how engagement frequency and compensation opportunities are influenced by performance and availability.
-
Verde Beauty does not set fixed working hours for independent contractors. Artists are booked for specific services, dates, and timeframes, and are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and able to complete services within the agreed scope. The duration of each booking may vary based on service count, event needs, and timeline requirements.
Verde Beauty primarily operates Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sunday and holiday bookings for weddings or special events. Artists may accept or decline bookings based on personal availability; however, once a booking is accepted, that commitment is considered firm.
Booking Coordination
All bookings are coordinated through the Verde Beauty concierge team to ensure a seamless, organized experience for both clients and artists. This structure allows artists to focus on their craft while administrative details, communication, and scheduling are handled consistently behind the scenes.
When a booking is offered, artists will receive clear details, including:
Service counts
Timing and location
Compensation
Any event-specific notes or expectations
Artists are expected to respond promptly and professionally so clients can be confirmed without delay. Once accepted, the date and time are reserved exclusively for that artist and relied upon by clients, planners, venues, and fellow vendors.
Availability & Booking Frequency
Booking frequency is influenced by:
Accurate and consistent availability
Willingness to accept bookings, including peak dates and locations
Timely communication
Reliability and follow-through
Past performance and client experience
Artists who are frequently unavailable, slow to respond, or decline bookings repeatedly may be offered fewer opportunities as a practical result of scheduling needs — not as a penalty.
Changes & Cancellations
Artists must notify management as soon as possible if:
Availability changes
A conflict arises
An emergency impacts a confirmed booking
Repeated last-minute changes or cancellations may result in reduced booking priority or paused assignments, as reliability is critical to maintaining client trust.
Elevated Expectations
For weddings or events led by Tina, an elevated level of attention to detail, professionalism, and client care is expected, reflecting the scope and standard of those bookings.
Relationship to Opportunities & Incentives
Artists who demonstrate:
Consistent availability
Strong communication
Dependability
Flexibility during peak seasons
Are more likely to be considered for:
Priority or premium bookings
Higher booking volume
Bonuses or incentive opportunities
Verde Beauty does not guarantee a minimum number of bookings. Opportunities are offered based on business needs, availability, performance, and alignment with brand standards.
-
Verde Beauty relies on accurate scheduling and dependable artist commitments to deliver a seamless experience for our clients, planners, and venues. Once an artist accepts a booking, that commitment is relied upon by multiple parties and requires significant coordination behind the scenes.
Confirmed Booking Commitment
Once a booking is accepted, the date and time are reserved exclusively for that artist and are expected to be honored unless an approved exception applies.
Late Cancellation & No-Show Coverage Fee
If an artist cancels a confirmed booking within 72 hours of the scheduled start time, or fails to arrive as scheduled (no-show), Verde Beauty may apply a Backfill & Administrative Coverage Fee of $150.
This fee represents a reasonable estimate of administrative and coordination costs, including sourcing a replacement artist and managing client and vendor communication. This fee is not a penalty, but a cost-recovery measure.
Replacement Cost Reimbursement
If a replacement artist must be secured at a higher rate or with additional expenses, the original artist may be responsible for reimbursing the documented difference in cost, capped at $300.
Impact on Booking Priority & Incentives
Late cancellations or no-shows may also result in:
Temporary reduction in booking priority
Loss of bonus or incentive eligibility for 30 days
Paused assignments if reliability issues persist
Exceptions
Fees may be waived in cases involving documented medical emergencies, unsafe travel conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond the artist’s control. Artists must notify management as soon as possible.
Payment Handling
Applicable fees may be deducted from future invoices or issued separately, at Verde Beauty’s discretion.
Good-Faith Courtesy
A one-time courtesy waiver may be granted at management’s discretion for artists with a strong reliability history.
