  • Bonuses for last-minute coverage when artists step in to support urgent needs

  • Tiered incentives tied to booking volume, referrals, or performance goals

Professional Growth & Development

To support long-term artist growth, Verde Beauty may offer:

  • Education credits earned through Elite status, referrals, or performance milestones

  • Workshops, trainings, or in-house education sessions

  • Content days, professional headshots, or portfolio-building opportunities

  • Access to styled shoots, editorial projects, or brand collaborations, when available

Participation in professional growth opportunities may be invitation-based and prioritized for artists who demonstrate strong performance, availability, and brand alignment.

Important Notes

All community, financial, and professional growth perks are discretionary and non-contractual. These perks may be offered, modified, or discontinued at any time at Verde Beauty’s sole discretion and do not replace or guarantee compensation.

Time Management & Punctuality

Independent contractors are responsible for managing their own time and ensuring punctual arrival for all confirmed service appointments. While formal timekeeping or clock-ins are not required, Verde Beauty may request estimated arrival times or service durations to support scheduling, timelines, and event coordination.

Artists are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and ready to perform services within the agreed scope of each booking.

Invoicing & Payment Structure

Independent contractors are asked to submit invoices twice per month for all completed services.

  • Invoices must be submitted on the 1st and 15th of each month

  • Payment is processed based on the invoice submission schedule

  • Contractors will receive a Form 1099 at year-end for tax reporting

  • Contractors are solely responsible for tracking, reporting, and paying all federal, state, and local taxes, including self-employment tax

  • Verde Beauty does not withhold taxes or provide tax advice

Invoice Submission Schedule

  • Submit invoice on the last day of the month→ covers work completed from the 16th through the end of the month

  • Submit invoice by the 15th → covers work completed from the 1st through the 15th

Payments are processed on the 1st and 16th of each month.

Direct Deposit

All payments are issued via QuickBooks direct deposit. Contractors must provide valid banking information to set up this payment method.

  • Deposits typically post within 1 business day, depending on the contractor’s bank

Invoice Submission Guidelines

To ensure timely payment, invoices must follow the format below:

Email subject line:
PAYROLL [start date – end date] «« this is VERY important as payroll emails are sorted based on THIS SPECIFIC title.
Example: PAYROLL 08/01–08/15

Each invoice must include:

  • Event date

  • Client name

  • Services performed (Hair x __, Makeup x __)

  • Total number of services

  • additional pay - requests, referrals, travel, ect

  • Applicable rate (see Service Rates)

  • Daily total

Incomplete or improperly formatted invoices may delay payment.

Photo Requirement (Required for Full Rate)

To receive the Signature Rate, artists must attach social media–quality images for each completed service.

  • Images must be attached (not embedded in the email body)

  • Every service must have a corresponding image to be paid

  • Services submitted without images default internally to $65 per service, rather than the $80 Signature Rate

  • Images are used for quality control and marketing purposes

  • Image submission helps us defend artists when there are complaints or issues with bridal parties

Social Media Credit

If sharing Verde Beauty clients on personal social media, artists must credit:

  • [Your Name] for @VerdeBeauty, or

  • Services on behalf of @VerdeBeauty

Verde Beauty must be visably tagged in any social media posts.

Verde Beauty Agency Repped Artists:

  • include ‘Represented by Verde Beauty Artist Agency’ in social bios

  • provide a link to booking form

Additional Time & Extended Services

Verde Beauty does not provide overtime compensation to independent contractors.

If a service runs longer than expected or additional services are requested on-site, the artist must:

  • Notify management for approval

  • Ensure all add-on services are paid by the client on the day of service via Venmo to @verdebeauty

Once payment is confirmed, the assigned artist will receive a bonus for any approved add-on services.

Payrates

Payrates

Verde Beauty compensates independent contractors using a merit-based service rate model. Artists may earn higher per-service rates based on consistent performance, reliability, professionalism, and contribution to the brand.

Nothing in this section guarantees rate increases, booking volume, or continued work.

Base Service Rate
(Entry Level)

  • $75 per service

  • Represents 65% of the $115 base service price

The $75 rate applies to artists who are new to the roster or rebuilding eligibility and who meet all base-level expectations:

  • Clean, professional hair and/or makeup kit

  • lighting + chair for client comfort

  • Reliable transportation

  • Punctual arrival and strong time management

  • Ability to service all skin tones and all hair textures

  • Submission of quality images for every service performed

Failure to meet base-level expectations may result in adjusted pay, reduced booking priority, or paused assignments, depending on severity or frequency.

Performance Rate
(Standard Earned Rate)

  • $85 per service

  • Represents 73% of the $115 base service price

The $85 per service rate is a performance-earned standard rate awarded to artists who consistently demonstrate:

  • Reliable availability and ease of scheduling

  • Strong client experience and positive feedback

  • Professionalism, preparedness, and punctuality

  • Alignment with Verde Beauty standards, systems, and workflows

Earning the $85 rate reflects ongoing performance, not a single event.

Premiere Rate
(Elevated Earned Rate)

  • $85 per party service

  • $100 per bridal service

  • Represents 87% of the $115 base service price

Lead Artist compensation is reserved for artists who consistently demonstrate elevated professionalism, preparedness, leadership ability, and client experience standards.

Lead Artists are expected to arrive fully self-sufficient with a complete professional kit, maintain exceptional communication, support wedding day flow, and represent the Verde Beauty brand at a high level.

Lead Artist status is earned through consistency, reliability, and proven performance and may be adjusted at any time based on team standards and business needs.

Team Leadership

  • Able to confidently lead wedding morning flow

  • Supports newer artists professionally

  • Communicates clearly with the bridal party and planner

  • Helps maintain timing without management intervention

Client Experience

  • Strong client feedback and repeat requests

  • Calm, professional energy under pressure

  • Upholds Verde Beauty service standards consistently

Agency Artist status is reserved for a select group of artists who consistently demonstrate elevated artistry, professionalism, client experience, and alignment with the Verde Beauty brand.

Agency Artists operate as independently established beauty professionals represented through the Verde Beauty Agency division for premium bridal, destination, luxury, and specialty event bookings. Agency Artists maintain their own approved pricing structure while partnering with Verde Beauty for representation, booking management, marketing, client communication, and agency support.

Agency status is earned through consistency, reliability, professionalism, strong client experience, and proven performance. Representation may be adjusted at any time based on business needs, availability, professionalism, or brand standards.

Agency Artist Expectations

  • Arrives fully self-sufficient and professionally prepared

  • Demonstrates strong communication, reliability, and professionalism

  • Upholds highest level of service and brand standards consistently

  • Maintains a collaborative and professional relationship with the team

Compensation Structure

Agency Artists maintain their own pricing structure for Agency bookings.

Verde Beauty retains a 20% agency management fee on Agency Artist bookings to cover representation, marketing, client management, booking coordination, administrative support, and agency operations.

Referral & Client Request Incentives

Referral-Based Rates

When an artist personally refers a bride who officially books through Verde Beauty and is assigned to the event, the following rates apply:

  • Bride Services → $100 per service

  • Bridal Party Services → $90 per service

These adjusted rates recognize both the artist’s referral contribution and their role in executing the event.

Referral-based compensation does not stack with additional pay increases or bonuses. The highest applicable rate per service will apply.

While Verde Beauty always aims to assign referred weddings to the referring artist whenever possible, assignments are based on scheduling, availability, event needs, and location logistics.

Referral Bonus (When Not Assigned)

If an artist refers a bride who books through Verde Beauty but is unable to be assigned to the event, the artist will receive a $75 referral bonus as a thank-you for contributing to the continued growth of the company.

Client Request Incentives

When a bride specifically requests an artist by name after booking with Verde Beauty, the requested artist may qualify for a $50 client request bonus based on event scope, availability, scheduling, and timing.

Consistent client requests may also be considered for:

  • Priority booking opportunities

  • Future compensation increases

  • Lead Artist consideration

  • Brand features and elevated opportunities within Verde Beauty

Artist-to-Artist Referral Assignments

In situations where an artist personally refers a bride to Verde Beauty but another Verde Beauty artist is assigned to perform the services, Verde Beauty may divide referral-related compensation between the referring artist and the assigned artist.

Compensation structure will vary based on event size, artist availability, scheduling, location, and the level of involvement from each artist.

Referral-related compensation may include:

  • A flat referral bonus

  • Elevated service rates for the assigned artist

  • Client request bonuses

  • Percentage-based referral incentives for larger events

Verde Beauty reserves the right to determine the most appropriate compensation structure for each event based on business needs and team contributions.

  • Event Adjustments & Premium Opportunities

    Certain bookings may qualify for additional compensation based on travel, scheduling demands, event logistics, or expanded service scope.

    These adjustments are intended to fairly compensate artists for the additional time, coordination, and operational demands associated with onsite and high-complexity events.

    Standard Onsite Adjustments

    Onsite event services may qualify for additional compensation based on travel distance and scheduling impact.

    This adjustment recognizes the additional time, travel, setup, breakdown, and logistical coordination associated with mobile event services.

    Standard Onsite Compensation

    • 15 to 50 miles → +$25

    • 50 to 100 miles → +$50

    • 100+ miles → Custom quote based on event scope

    Onsite adjustments apply only to offsite event services and do not apply to appointments performed at a Verde Beauty studio location, content days, trainings, meetings, or standard commuting.

    High-Logistics Event Adjustments

    Certain events may qualify for additional compensation due to increased operational complexity.

    Examples may include:

    • Large hotel properties

    • Limited or paid parking

    • Restricted load-in access

    • Excessive equipment transport

    • Tight scheduling windows

    • Multi-location timelines

    • Festival, parade, or high-traffic weekends

    • Downtown or high-congestion event areas

    Additional Logistical Adjustments

    • Standard logistical adjustment → Starting at +$25

    • Expanded logistical adjustment → Starting at +$50

    Standard Parking is covered by client on event day.

    Parking or valet fees pre-approved by Verde Beauty management may be reimbursed separately and are not considered part of artist compensation adjustments. *must be approved prior

    Early Start Compensation

    Early morning bookings may qualify for additional compensation due to scheduling impact and reduced artist availability.

    • Service start before 8:00 AM → +$50

    • Service start before 6:00 AM → +$100

    • Service start before 5:00 AM → Custom adjustment

    Early start compensation is based on the scheduled first service start time — not arrival or setup time.

    Extended Stay & Touch-Up Services

    Artists booked for extended on-site support may receive additional hourly compensation.

    Examples may include:

    • Ceremony touch-ups

    • Reception look changes

    • Extended event coverage

    • Second-look styling

    • Content assistance

    Touch-Up Compensation

    • $50 per hour

    • Two-hour minimum may apply

    All extended-stay services must be approved and scheduled through Verde Beauty management in advance.

    Premium Booking Opportunities

    Certain luxury, destination, extended-stay, or high-complexity events may be reserved for artists who consistently demonstrate strong professionalism, reliability, communication, flexibility, and brand representation.

    Eligible artists may receive opportunities including:

    • Luxury destination weddings

    • Multi-day events

    • Split-day scheduling

    • Premium compensation structures

    • Preferred booking placement

    • Priority consideration for expanded-scope events

    Premium opportunities are based on overall artist performance, professionalism, and alignment with Verde Beauty standards.

    Important Notes

    • Additional compensation categories do not automatically stack.

    • Final compensation adjustments are determined by Verde Beauty management based on overall event scope and operational demands.

    • Premium opportunities are earned through consistency, professionalism, and positive client experience.

  • If additional services are requested on the wedding day, the following policies apply:

    • Day-of add-on services are billed at $125 per service

    • Payment must be collected before the service is performed

    • Payment should be submitted via Venmo to @verdebeauty

    • Once payment is confirmed, the assigned artist will be compensated $95 per added service

    Day-of additions are subject to artist availability, timing allowances, and overall event schedule flow. Verde Beauty reserves the right to decline additional services if they may impact the client experience or timeline.

    • Artists should not quote pricing, negotiate rates, or offer discounts

    • Artists should only collect payment via Venmo @verdebeauty

    • Cash, personal Venmo accounts, or other payment methods are not permitted

    Services completed without payment confirmation or management approval may not be compensated.

    Unapproved add-ons or services performed without payment confirmation may not be compensated.

    • Verde Beauty reserves the right to adjust rates and structures as the business evolves

    Tips & Additional Notes

    • Tips are never guaranteed and should not be expected as part of compensation

    • Credit card tips are paid out less a 3% processing fee

    • Day-of cash or Venmo tips are split with the team and not recorded on invoices

    • Parking fees are paid by the client

    • Blowouts are considered add-on services

    • Partial services (eyes-only, complexion-only, etc.) are not offered and are counted as full services

Additional Expectations:

  • Portfolio: Maintain an updated portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Licensing and Insurance: Ensure compliance with all necessary licenses and insurance requirements.

  • Client Satisfaction: Prioritize client satisfaction and build long-lasting relationships.

  • Dress professionally and neutrally.

    All-black or elevated neutrals are preferred. Clothing should be polished, comfortable for movement, and event-appropriate. No overly casual attire, loud prints, or distracting logos.

    You are part of the visual experience of the wedding morning.

  • You should arrive early enough to be fully set up before the first service begins.

    Call time is not arrival time — it is the time services start.

    Plan accordingly for parking, venue access, and setup. When possible, coordinate arrival with your team.
